Venicemarathon is an international marathon globally recognized certified by the IAAF Silver Label, on the Olympic distance of 42.195 kilometers, is the most classic and fascinating discipline of athletics.
Today Venice Marathon is a marathon of recognized quality, as evidenced by the IAAF Silver Label. A race that even after so many years, continues to exercise a fascination and appeal vivo and in athletes (with requests that continue to be more than 8,000 seats available) that the public is always ready to accept and participate in the marathon known as propose.
For all Venicemarathon is something beyond the „Marathon of Venice”: a container of events and initiatives participate with vivid interest not only by runners. San Giuliano Park is the centerpiece of the week pre-marathon on Friday with the unveiling of Exposport and Saturday with three Family Run involving children and young people across the province.

Venicemarathon is held every year on the fourth Sunday of October. Future editions: October 27, 2019; October 25, 2020.
Start time
Marathon start will take place at 9:35 am approximately.
The exact start time will be decided the day before the race, according to operational needs and TV broadcasting needs.

Bib pick-up
Pick up your bib and race packet on Friday October 26and Saturday October 27 at the Exposport.
Exposport will be located in Venezia Mestre, inside San Giuliano’s Park.
Opening hours:
• Friday from 10am until 8pm and
• Saturday from 9am until 8pm.
How to get there: directions will be included in the confirmation letter.
No bib pick-up on Sunday morning before the race. No bib sent at home before the race.
Bib numbers distribution
Bib numbers will be distributed in a progressive way depending on the registration date (who register before will get a lower bib number)
The corral will be distributed on the basis of the best personal time declared by applicants recorded in one race within the past 2 years and this will be identified on the bib number with the color. The organization could verify the best personal time declared and in case of false declaration athlete will start at the back of the group.
Corral
The corral, distributed on the basis of the best personal (last two years) will be identified by the color of the bib number.
Pre-Race Transportation
There will be a free shuttle service to reach the start line in Stra, reserved to participants only. The organization strongly advises all participants to use said service because the start area is difficult to access by personal means of transportation.
Shuttles will leave from:
Venezia Tronchetto (fruit and vegetables market area)
Venezia Mestre (railway station)
Athletes will be asked to show their bib number to board the bus. Should you go to the start by your own car, remember that the area could be busy and difficult to park your car, try to be there early.
Bags for personal belongins
A special service will be organized for the transportation of all bags containing the athletes’ personal belongings from the start line in Stra to the finish line in Venice (Riva dei Sette Martiri).

In the starting area athlets will find the changing area and many toilets
Timing
Race timing will be managed by Timing Data Service.
Thanks to the chip applied to the back of athlete’s bib number, sensors will record the actual time in which each runner finishes the race.
Intermediate times will be also recorded at the km: 5, 10, 15, 21.097 (half marathon), 25, 30, 35 and 40.
Times and rankings will be available in real time during the race on the web site www.huaweivenicemarathon.it
Along the route
Refreshement stations with water are available on the course every 5 kilometers starting from km 5. Sports drink, fruit and cookies will be available from the 20th kilometer station.
Runners will find 2 personal sponges in the race packet. They should carry the sponges with them during the race and soak the in the fresh water tanks available every 5 km, starting from km 7.5. Additional sponges will be available in the starting area, but not along the course.
For withdrawn competitors pick-up buses are available to carry athletes to the first-aid stations (placed at km 23,5 and 31,5).
Maximum Times
Maximum time – half marathon: 2h45′
Maximum time – km 30: 3h50′
Maximum time – finish: 6h00′
After these times the organization cannot guarantee complete closing of the race course.
Finish Area
The finish line is in Venice, in Riva dei Sette Martiri.
Beyond the finish line, athletes will find: the medal delivery area, the refreshment station, the bags pick-up area, restrooms and toilets.
Showers will be available at the Palasport dell’Arsenale located few hundred meters from the finish line.

La Venicemarathon, gara internazionale sulla distanza olimpica di Km 42,195, disciplina più classica ed affascinante dell’atletica leggera; una maratona riconosciuta a livello mondiale dalla IAAF e certificata Bronze Label. Si corre su un percorso unico al mondo, dove ogni chilometro è ricco di fascino e suggestione; dalla partenza, posta di fronte a Villa Pisani, la Riviera del Brenta, con le sue ville, e Venezia, con il transito sul Ponte di Barche, Piazza San Marco, il Campanile e Palazzo Ducale. Venicemarathon è una corsa che, anche dopo tanti anni, continua ad esercitare un fascino e un appeal vivo sia negli atleti che nel pubblico, sempre pronto a cogliere e a partecipare a quanto la maratona sa proporre.

La 10K Tappa del Garmin Running Tour 2016, è la corsa sui dieci chilometri più suggestivi del mondo, gli ultimi della Venicemarathon. La corsa che permette a chiunque di vivere il fascino di Venezia.
Le Family Run, corse non competitve organizzate in varie località della provincia che uniscono ragazzi, famiglie e tutti coloro che vogliono passare una giornata all’insegna della salute e del divertimento, coinvolgendo i partecipanti nell’atmosfera della maratona.
Exposport, la fiera dello Sport e del Tempo Libero, quartiere generale e cuore pulsante di Venicemarathon nei giorni precedenti la gara, che si svolge nel parco cittadino più grande d’Europa, il Parco San Giuliano di Mestre.
Un occhio di riguardo è infine, come dalla prima edizione, dedicato all’aspetto solidale con il Venicemarathon Charity Program il cui testimonial è l’olimpionico Alex Zanardi che più volte ha emozionato tra le calli e i ponti di Venezia.
